Hey, Banco
Assistant Manager of Commercial Intelligence
The commercial intelligence department is the primary data analysis department at Hey Banco. Most of our tasks involve providing well-structured and accurate answers to business questions such as: How do we reduce the amount of churned clients? or, how are clients reacting to our new product? Some of the most interesting projects I worked on were:
- Creating a central knowledge repository for our team and AI.
- Creating automated workflows for non-technical team members using Google Sheets API - Python implementations.
- Designing and launching client acquisition campaigns.
ENNOVA
Jr. Research Associate
ENNOVA is a boutique oil and gas consultancy company. It specialized in interpreting PVT, ARI, brine, and asphaltene data to provide a very accurate prediction on when an offshore well was going to present blockages. As Jr. Research Associate I helped on some of the following projects:
- Developing an algorithm that received micro-fluidic device photos and determines the coverage amount of asphaltenes.
- Created a web application where users could upload PVT graphs with calculation errors and an algorithm could fix the discontinuities using linear or quadratic approximations.
- Parsed several pdfs containing oil sample data automatically using Python and storing the data in csv and Python classes.

Definitely the hardest step in my education. I’ve always loved physics and when the time came it made complete sense to pursue this degree. It gave me very important tools I still use regularly. Linear algebra, regressions, and statistics to name a few.
